The barn-storming Jaguar XFR-S – Jaguar’s most powerful saloon car ever – has bowed in at LA. Full details and lots more photos of the new XFR-S. Following on from the XKR-S – and arriving in the same French Blue – the Jaguar XFR-S gets a 40 horse jump over the XFR – and an extra 41lb/ft of torque too – to offer a potentially BMW M5 competing 550HP and 502lb/ft of torque, enough to hit 62mph in 4.6 seconds and on to 186mph (not quite up with the M5, but getting there).

The Jaguar XF makes its debut - but haven't we seen it already? You've already been treated to advance pictures and details of Jaguar's crucial new 5-series rival in CAR magazine and on CAR Online, but the troubled Midlands firm has chosen BMW, Mercedes and Audi's home motor show for the official launch of its new XF. A bold move, but a wise one; its bigger rivals - including Lexus - have little new in this sector at Frankfurt, leaving the XF to steal the headlines and - Jaguar hopes - some sales too.
Mercedes has revealed the BlueZERO E-Cell Plus Electric Concept Car
The BlueZERO E-Cell is actually based on the existing A Class / B Class platform, which is interesting in itself. Why? Well, the sandwich construction of the A/B Class lends itself perfectly to battery storage for the BlueZERO E-Cell Plus, but this whole platform is due to be dumped when the next generation A/B Class arrives, as it’s considered too expensive to continue.
